Supporting data volume that's about 6.5-times that of CD (44.1 kHz/16 bit), PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) handles up to 192 kHz/24 bit for a sampling rate and bit depth capable of reproducing wave characteristics that are very close to the original analog wave. In addition to providing clear reproduction of high frequencies, PCM also enables subtle nuances and resonance to be expressed with high fidelity.

With support for both DSD (Direct Stream Digital) and 384 kHz/32-bit PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) encoding formats, you'll enjoy authentic, original sound that's closer to the original studio recording. Both formats digitize the analog source: DSD captures sound data as a sequence of single bit values (including 192 kHz/24 bit, DSD2.8, DSD128, and DSD64) with a high sampling rate of up to 5.6 MHz (128 times the sampling rate of CD). While PCM digitally samples the original audio source, then converts the signal into binary digits called bits'.

The amplifier has been fitted with a FET input buffer and discrete circuit for the pre-amp. This reduces the effects of distortion while enhancing the sound quality of High-Resolution Audio.
We've combined the electronic volume with a discrete buffer amp - co-developed with Sony - to enhance the overall sound quality by reducing the gain error experienced by conventional amps.
The built-in smart BIAS system controls the amp's BIAS based on the volume position. In doing so, the amp is able to utilize a field that experiences good transistor linearity without generating heat, so the sound quality always remains true.
