My family has owned Electrolux vacuums for over 60 years so when it came time to replace our 16 yr. old Maytag washer and dryer I did some research. The ladies at my local appliance co. told me everyone there has Electrolux. Best warranty and most reliable, I chose the simplest machine and we™€™ve had it for a few weeks now and so far so good. The first 5 times I used it were great then the lock button was on and I could not get any of the cycles to work. (May have been my grandson pushing buttons). After a few phone calls it was a simple fix. I like how the gasket is easy to dry with a paper towel after each use to prevent mold /musty smell unlike the Maytag. Only takes a minute. I like that it uses less water than a traditional top load washer. So far I am very happy with this washer.

So far, I am really loving my new Electrolux washer! I didn't want to get a front loading machine at first, but I am glad that I did. I use so much less detergent. Because the final spin extracts so much water from the items washed, it saves energy because saves dryer time.

I™€™ve had this machine for three months and am entirely unimpressed. I often have to run clothes through two wash cycles, just so they don™€™t smell like dirt and sweat when they™€™re finished. Clothes don™€™t look dirty, but NEVER actually smell clean. Very disappointed.

Issues with both washer and dryer

I had never heard of Electrolux when we were shopping for a new washer dryer set. The salesman was good and we purchased the set. Complete mistake for us. We have had these for only 10 months and I have had issues with both the washer and dryer. I had to take the dryer apart within a month because somehow a dryer sheet got past the dryer filter and stuck in the blower. It balls the clothes up really bad especially sheets. I have had a shirt ruined because it got so wadded up. The washer has always shook pretty good. It is now not putting in enough water. I pull clothes out and there are completely dry spots throughout clothes. Hasn't been a good experience for us. I will never purchase anything with the Electrolux name behind it.

I had to finally replace my well-used Bosch and so far am happy with my new Electrolux. It cleans well, maybe even better. I prefer the basic models of most appliances but wish it had a sanitize cycle. To be fair, Electrolux does offer it in its other models, I just didn't need all the other features.
