Powerful stove, but awkward controls

One very powerful large burner for boiling and searing. The other 3 burners are not as intense. The downdraft works great. Control knobs seem too close to the burners and are awkward/slippery to use due to their smooth metal surface. I would rather it have two large burners in the front. The power of the burners are a little tricky to become familiar with, but I believe with time I will understand all its functions.

I wasn't aware that it would take
1 hour to boil a20 quarts of water !
Need new cookware. Need all flat bottoms. Can't slide pots off. A whole new way to cook

I was intrigued by this model because of it's sleek appearance, but I'm disappointed after beginning to use this cook top. The knobs are a bit wobbly and the cook top scratches unlike any smooth top range I've used over the past 12 years. I'm a neat cook, and I clean the kitchen every day and I don't slide my pots on the surface. I'm perplexed as to how these scratches are happening. The unit performs wonderfully, but the fan is louder than the 25 year old Jennair we just removed from the home. This fan intake also generates a whistle when it operates, which is not wonderful.

Very nice! Heats up great and fast. Easy to control temperature. Wipes up nice , using the afresh cleaning kit for harder messes.

Replaced old Jenn-Air glass top and couldn't be happier. Heats faster and is more controllable for temp. Even simmers better. Fan is more powerful and quieter. Filter is a better design for cleaning.

I purchased the stove top to replace another. It is simple and elegant. The dials are easy to read and know where the marker is unlike my old one. It has two burners that can used for both small and large pans and that is very helpful. The exhaust fan is quiet and powerful

Replaced our 20+ year old Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop (that a heavy object fell on, shattered the glass, and replacement parts were no longer available for) with a new Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop. My fiancé and I work from home and cook at least 2 if not 3 meals daily here, and are really enjoying using the new cooktop, and are very happy with it so far. Pros: The elements heat much faster, the design is much sleeker, and have received many compliments on the new cooktop from guests. It also fit perfectly into the old space in our counter without any cutting involved! Cons: The only downsides are that the downdraft fan is incredibly noisy and whistles, particularly on the med setting, much more so than our previous cooktop, and also dirties so easy and seems to be easier to scuff and scratch than the other Jenn-Air cooktop.

I had a Jenn Air cooktop that I loved. But that was the only original Jenn Air appliance. When we did some minor updating, we went to all Jenn -Air. Price was very reasonable. Quality was exceptional.

I've only used the one small burner on the right to saute some mushrooms and cook some rice and already there are a few scratches I cannot remove with glass top spray cleaner and the glass cooktop scrubber. What can I do?
